How the Indian Football League Points Table Works?

Once matches begin, teams will earn three points for a win, one point for a draw, and zero points for a loss, following the format used in earlier IFL and I-League seasons. Rankings are decided first by total points.

If two or more clubs finish level on points, goal difference becomes the next deciding factor, followed by total goals scored. Head-to-head results between the tied clubs may also apply where the competition regulations allow it.

This system rewards consistent winning form across the season while giving credit to teams that score freely and defend well. The same method was used to settle the final standings of the 2025-26 season.
